  • Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance now wants DP Ruto to resign from the high office
  • They are claiming President Uhuru Kenyatta was right to condemn his Deputy President for running parallel undertakings
  • Jubilee Party has also weighed on the matter, saying DP concentrates much on political expediency than people centred leadership

The Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya alliance have told DP William Ruto to resign from the government instead of firing epithets while serving the same government

In a statement released to newsroom on Wednesday 4th, May, the Azimio secretariat says the second in command has literally continued to disrespect the commander in chief of Kenya’s Defence Forces

“The language, wording, format, content in his social media post are unlike  anything to be expected from a high ranking public officer, more so one who harbours ambitions for higher office in the land.

“It is this kind of reckless language from ths Deputy President, that nearly caused a dramatic row between Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo, that almost jeopardised President Uhuru Kenyatta’s efforts to bring the mineral rich country into the East Africa Community,” Part of the statement read.

The secretariat led by their CEO, Raphael Tuju okayed President’s utterances that he was right to condemn his DP not only worthless but hindrance in dealing with Covid-19 and the current high cost of living

“William Ruto has proved that he is not a patriot and he doesn’t care about people of Kenya, what he cares for is political expediency.

“If he cared for the country would have  concentrated much on offering solutions not a nuisance,”. It read.

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance letter comes at a background of another letter from Jubilee Party calling DP Ruto to resign immediately from the government

“It is not late for Mr Ruto to go the right thing.  Let him follow the honourable  footsteps of the man Jaramongi Odinga instead of wasting taxpayers sacrifice  earning sumptuous salary, allowances, perks of high office while mocking the poor with the narrative that paints himself as a hustler.

Mr Ruto should understand that history is not kind to parasites,” Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioko quoted.
