Police Disperses Azimio’s Protest, Directs them to Bomas

The Azimio la Umoja Coalition had staged a demonstration at Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to air their displeasure on what has been happening at the electoral agency

Members of Parliament and their supporters moved towards IEBC, demanding the reinstatement of the sacked Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ruth Kulundu immediately 

Speaking on Monday 26th September at IEBC’s offices, at Anniversary Towers, the Azimio brigade led by Ruaraka Member of Parliament TJ Kajwang’ cited that the sacking as ill and politically castigated 

“We demand the IEBC CEO Marjan Hussein Marjan and the Chairperson Wafula Chebukati to forthwith revoke the compulsory leave and allow Ms Kulundu perform her duties smoothly without interference,” Kajwang said

However, their procession matching to IEBC offices were thwarted by the security officers redirecting them to match at Bomas where their based grievances emanated that led to punishment of the Deputy CEO
