Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Principals Rt. Hon Raila Odinga, Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Hon. Martha Karua are today meeting Azimio governors and their deputies in Naivasha to discuss the way forward after the August elections.

The conference happening at the Great Rift Valley Lodge is the first between the governors, deputies and the coalition’s leadership since the August general elections.

ODM boss Raila Odinga, Wiper party’s Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya’s Presidential running mate Hon. Karua and Former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya addressed the forum earlier today.


Raila disclosed putting up spirited fight against what he termed unprepared regime as he lays down strategies to oversight the current administration

“This regime wasn’t ready to lead. It has no idea of how to solve Kenya’s problems and seems obsessed with campaigning.

The method of deceit and false promises is out of control and will not be allowed to harm our lives. We’ll continue pushing the causes of the people of Kenya,” Raila noted.

Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe and Homabay’s Gladys Wanga are the only governors who addressed the conference on the county status reports on behalf of their colleagues.

In his speech, Governor Malombe shared his perspectives on a governor’s experience leading a county, supporting the devolution agenda in the third term of devolution in Kenya, establishing the devolved governments, endorsement of CIDP proposals, tackling the challenges in devolved systems and the local, regional and national political dynamics post the August 9 elections.
