Kibwezi: Pastors sued over invading, anointing Shrines

Angulya Sub-Clan of Akamba People have made their threats come true by setting fight on Heavenly Believers

A group of faithfuls led by Kibwezi based PEFA Church Pastor Moris Nzioki consecrated Kilundo Wa Mee Eli Shrine against the custodian’s wishes

The Sons of larger Anziu Clan scattered across the Kamba Nation whom are largely led by National Liberal Party Leader Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli demands full public apology and monies to cleanse the Shrine

A field of battle between the earthly and heavenly spiritual powers is brewing in Kibwezi after the Angulya people who are a Sub-clan of Akamba settled within the Kyulu Hills beltline demand  compensation from the group of Pastors over invading and trespassing their Shrine 

In a letter from Kasyoka and Associates Advocates seen by safinews.co.ke , the Angulya people claims their Kilundo wa Mee Eli Shrine was invaded on 14th September by a group of pastors who poured salt and anointed oil without their consent and permission

According to the demand letter from the lawyer, the clan now wants public apology from the pastors led by Kibwezi based PEFA Church Pastor Moris Nzioki who led a cohoot of other Pastors and Faithfuls by conducting strange rituals without consent from the clan who believes they are the custodians of Kibwezi Springs

They argues that the shrine is an important and surveyed public utility in the heart of conservation of climate at the Kibwezi River catchment area and since time immemorial it has been an important gem in protection and conservation of the Kibwezi spring 

“By letting you interfere with the Shrine would be deeming to the efforts of the people of this country and the global fight for against the adverse effects of climate change.

African Indigenous Knowledge has been jealously protected by the constitution of Kenya under Article 11[i] and the established Protection of Traditional Knowledge and Cultural Expression Act No 33 of 2016,” the demad letter read in part.

The Clan which forms part of the Anziu Clan in Ukambani sought to remind the Pastors that the Republic of Kenya is a secular state comprising of diverse religious groups among the believers of African Traditional Religion and as such no religion should feel superior than the other as it has been frowned by Constitution of Kenya under Article 32 which gives freedom of conscience, religion, belief and opinion 

They have given the Pastors, an ultimatum of 14 days to apologise publicly and compensate with the equal amounts of money that will be used to cleanse the shrine which according to them has been breached failure to which, they shall move to court to institute legal redress for the failure to abide by the set laws  

“For the aforementioned reasons, your actions were unlawful and illegal and as such desist from interference with any other shrine and as well compensate them with the monies that shall be required to purchase all the necessary requirements that shall be necessary to conduct the cleansing ceremony to cleanse the Kilundo Wa Mee Eli Shrine to appease the Mulungu and the custodians of the Shrine who are sons of the Anziu Clan,” it read
