Meru Voters Supports Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s Removal- Timely Kenya Reveals

It has now been reported that the staggering 68.7 per cent of Meru voters are in support of Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s impeachment process; A new survey by Timely Kenya has revealed on Friday 6th October, 2023.

Those who were conducted by the pollsters thereby respondents cited lack of sustainable development plan, her sharp tongue and lack of emotional intelligence as the major reasons for her ouster bid

In a well tabulated hypothesis by the number of constituencies Imenti South Constituency have 61 per cent of those who want her out of Meru County

The Central Imenti have 68 per cent, North Imenti 64 per cent, Buuri 51 per cent, Tigania West 67 oer cent, Tigania East 74 per cent, Igembe South 84 per cent, Igembe North 70 per cent

According to Timely Kenya, Members of County Assembly argued they have gathered enough evidence of cajoling them to dance to the tune of the governor in order to get development in their wards

Another major reasons is that governor is not allowing them to take part or launch projects in their respective wards

They have also reported cases of corruption and nepotism practiced by the Governor where she is accused of hiring relatives and awarding people close to her lucrative tenders

Only a paltry 27 per cent of Meru voters who do not want her impeached and another 3 per cent who are undecided

The report contained the sample size of 2509 respondents across the nine constituencies in Meru County

According to their data analyst Elsie Ajode, the mode of collection of the views was through one on one interviews

The data was collected between September 25th and 5th October 

They reported that more than 69 per cent of Meru voters endorsed the plan to start impeaching Governor Kawira Mwangaza
